Killing Time Studio specialises in traditional signwriting, graphic design and mural art. We trust tradition over technology and embrace longevity over the temporary.

Killing Time was born from a newfound love for craft of Signpainting, during Melbourne’s 2020 lockdown. After taking Paul Myerscough’s online course The Signpainters Academy, Cal drew from his roots in graphic design, large format print and signage to open a local creative studio. 

Cal is constantly looking to hone his craft and build his skills in a trade that takes a lifetime to master. He references his signwriting idols, from the guys running workshops like Larry at Signvision and Gaston the Painter, to Mitch R Signs, Ross Hastie and Paul Banks. 

Recently, the studio has produces some impressive large scale murals, primarily through the City of Glen Eira Council. Cal regularly works with artists, brands, agencies, venues, curators and galleries to provide graphic solutions at any scale.
